2025 Offshore Murder Drones earthquake

On 3 June 2025, at 3:40:11 PM JATT (UTC+0) a Mw 7.5 earthquake ocurred offshore Murder Drones with a depth of 45 km. This earthquake was followed by numerous of aftershocks within the next two weeks, some exceeding Mw 6.0. Later studies showed that this earthquake was an aftershock of the 2023 Murder Drones earthquake from almost 2 years prior.

Earthquake

The earthquake ocurred on the afternoon of June 3rd 2025. Earthquake Early Warnings were quickly issued. Tremors corresponding to JMIS 7 (MMI IX | Shindo 6+) were felt in Murder Drones.

Tsunami

The SOIJ issued tsunami advisories for Murder Drones and Specter, corresponding to tsunami waves of 1 meter. A 85 cm tsunami was observed in the coasts of Murder Drones, while 40 cm waves were observed in Specter.

Aftermath

For the next two weeks, multiple aftershocks (largest being a M6.1) were observed in and offshore Murder Drones.

A certain individual was confirmed killed by the earthquake much to the delight of absolutely 100% of Jatoverse population (Congratulations Jax you're no longer alone)

Mysterious Note

Approximately 2 weeks after the earthquake, an anonymous note was sent to the SOIJ center, which contained an encrypted message:

Sometimes forgetting is impossible.

You'll always remember the day.

Mistakes are probable

I just wish it could have ended a little bit better.

Investigations were made trying to find who sent the letter, but to this day, the sender wasn't identified.
